Liberals will support the development of critical mineral resources in the United States because they are required for new green technologies. Conservative politicians are grasping the opportunity and supporting legislation that aids the development of critical minerals in the USA. Earlier this month Ted Cruz introduced the Onshoring Rare Earths Act of 2020 in an effort to end dependence on China for critical minerals (click to read press release).
